Samsung Leads No Growth Smartphone Market In 2019

Smartphone

Samsung held its big launch on Tuesday.  The company unveiled its new line of phones, with the flagship Galaxy S20.

Samsung unveiled three models: the S20, the S20+, and the S20 Ultra, starting at $999, $1,199 and $1,399, respectively.  All three support 5G (see our recent post here).  The S20 will be the first test of the U.S. 5G network.

Samsung is still leading the smartphone market, although Huawei is gradually closing the gap.  Samsung shipped 296 million smartphones last year, flat growth from 2018 shipments.
